It is several years we are looking for a system to charge batteries without using cables, but so far the results were not very promising. Intel, however, could make a great contribution, together with engineers at MIT, with technology WREL (Wireless Resonant Energy Link).

WREL is capable of transmitting up to 60 W at a distance of 60 to 100 cm, so much so that had been made a demonstration last Intel Developper Forum lighting a light bulb.

Now we should wait a few annetto to see the first fruits of this technology and maybe we could finally load all our gadgets without having to connect physically.
