Companies like Sony, Samsung, Motorola, Hitachi and Sharp have teamed up with AMIMON (sponsoring the project) for the development of future standards WHDI (Wireless Home Digital Interface) which will benefit the film in high definition wirelessly.

By 2009 the WHDI should be ready and then allow a stream to 1080p (wireless) on the banda of 5 GHz to put all communication devices commonly used in domestic, as LCD TV and Plasma, projectors, DVD players / BD , Amplifiers, computers and consoles.

The maximum coverage should be 30 metres and less than millisecond latencies also this new technology also allows encryption of the HD signal. We just have to wait confident.
