Hitachi will shortly on the Japanese market a new family of recorders Blu-ray Disc stand alone, able to work even without a PC. The firstborn of the new range will be called DZ-WR90 and will be fitted with eSATA connection to connect to a high-definition video camera and transfer it directly from the video content on the disc.

The new Hitachi will be able to write on DVD in single and double layer, and will pass on a single Blu-ray Disc up to 3 hours of movies with 1920 x 1080 resolution in about an hour and a half. In case of need for higher storage, with a small sacrifice in terms of quality can record up to 6 hours of images at 1440 x 1080 resolution.

The price has not yet been announced, the second indiscretions Hitachi will launch the marketing of the new recorder starting from July on Japanese territory.
