IPhone-TIM: Republic’s second signing
According to the newspaper “La Repubblica”, the much rumoreggiato agreement between Apple and Telecom Italy Mobile for the distribution of iPhone in our country was signed last March 31, at the Apple Cupertino.

The agreement is based on 3 fundamental cardinal points:

TIM propose new iPhone second-generation UMTS technology

 – No fee would be paid by TIM to Apple on contracts (no revenue sharing)

 – The exclusive party TIM last only 6 months, after which Apple will be able to reach agreement with other operators, or sell it independently.

 As you can see, this is a very different from those already in place in the USA and in the rest of Europe, but it is undeniable the deep diversity of the Italian market.

 An agreement of this kind would TIM economically, at least immediately, but would make Apple more free in the medium term. It could be, as we have already seen, schedule of Colombo.
